2021 Complete Guide to the Epcot Food and Wine Festival

Epcot has become a park of nearly year-round festivals but there is one that is more well known, more famous (and sometimes infamous) than all the others: The Epcot International Food and Wine Festival.

If you’re visiting Epcot and plan to spend some time enjoying the 2021 Food and Wine Festival, we have everything you’ll need to know before you go, including reviews of all the booths, info on what you’ll find for entertainment, plus lots, lots more.

Here’s what you need to know to have a great time:

Food and Wine Festival Booth List

Trying to plan which treats to try on your visit?

We have reviews for every booth at this year’s festival, plus complete menus and prices for every item.

Food and Wine Festival Data

The booth links above will take you to individual pages with our reviews, but do you want to see all our reviews in 1 spot?

Clicking on the link below will allow you to copy our data into a Google Sheet that you can then use for your Food & Wine planning purposes.

When is the Epcot Food and Wine Festival?

Although this event has traditionally started in September and ended in November, Disney has extended the time span in recent years.

In 2021, the Epcot Food and Wine Festival will be held daily from July 15 through November 20.

Food and Wine Festival

That is nearly 4 months of food fun!

How many booths are there at the Epcot Food and Wine Festival?

In 2021 there are a total of 32 booths, with 9 of the 32 not opening up until October 1.

In addition to the booths, there are 2 other spots (the 4 Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea locations inside Epcot and Funnel Cakes near The American Adventure) where you can purchase a festival-specific treat.

That means there is a total of 34 different places for you to grab Food & Wine Festival goodies!

What time do the food booths open up?

The food booths typically open up at 11:00 am, however, you may find that some of them open up a few minutes before that.

france booth menu epcot international food and wine festival

In general, the booths stay open until Epcot closes, but there are times (like when a booth starts to run out of items) when some booths might close a bit earlier.

How much does it cost to attend the Food and Wine Festival at Epcot?

Good news for everyone heading to Epcot:

Entry to the Food and Wine Festival is included in the price of your ticket.

How much does the food cost?

Although it doesn’t cost anything to attend the festival, you will have to pay for the food and beverages.

In general, drinks range in price from around $5-$9 each and food costs anywhere from around $4-$8 per serving.

Keep in mind that these prices are just averages. Some specialty cocktails and drink flights can be $11 or more each.

In the past, the Disney Dining Plan snack credits could be used for many items, however, as of right now the Disney Dining Plan has been suspended, so that isn’t an option for 2021.

Beer on a table at Food and Wine

One last thing: aside from a few places where you can get full-sized beverages, in general, the food items are smaller sizes (think 3-5 bites each), which makes it easier for you to try lots of things!

What takes place at the Food and Wine Festival?

Well, the name kind of gives it away BUT basically …

The Food & Wine Festival is a culinary celebration that incorporates lots of different ways to explore and learn about all things food and wine.

2021 Food and Wine Festival Events

Every year Disney switches things around a bit, and in normal years, they also add some new things.

France Food and Wine all food items

Then came 2020 and everything looked different and the switching around of things meant that, because of health and safety measures, a lot of the traditional favorites were put on hiatus.

But, while not everything is back for 2021, in addition to the food booths linked above, some other old favorites are returning:

Emile’s Fromage Montage

Guests are invited to purchase 5 cheese dishes from the Global Marketplace options listed in the Festival Passport. If you decide to play, you’ll need to make sure you get a stamp in your Passport when you purchase your item.

Live Entertainment

While we won’t have any of the popular Eat to the Beat concerts for 2021, there is still some live entertainment to see.

First up, some Epcot favorites have several performances throughout the day.

Voices of Liberty

Check the My Disney Experience App for showtimes:

  • Voices of Liberty (American Gardents Theater)

In addition, on Friday through Monday evenings guests can take in the sounds of the America Gardens Bandstand which is a live concert series with acts from throughout Central Florida:

We expect additional acts to be added for October and early November.

Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon

Great news! The Wine & Dine 1/2 Marathon is returning to the Food and Wine Festival for 2021…and this year it is villains themed.

Runners participating in the “Wickedly Delicious” race weekend will have the option of several different events, including a 5K, a 10K, the Half Marathon, and a “challenge” event which combines the 10K with the Half.

Check out the runDisney page for more info on the 2021 Wine & Dine Half Marathon weekend.

2021 Food and Wine Festival Passport

Disney also puts out little (and cute!) free paper passports with all the booths and menus in it.

Epcot Food and Wine Passport

In addition, if you decide to participate in Emile’s Fromage Montage, you’ll need a passport to collect your stamps.

You can pick up a Passport at the entrances to the Epcot (near the maps) as well as at nearly every festival booth and merchandise location.

Food and Wine Festival Merchandise and Gift Cards

For every festival, Disney creates several cute lines of merchandise to tempt our pocketbooks.

In general, you’ll find festival merchandise in both open air booths that are spread throughout Epcot, as well as in shops like MouseGear, World Traveler, and Port of Entry.

This year, there are 5 different Food and Wine collections to choose from:

  • Epcot International Food & Wine Festival Logo Collection – This collection includes official Corkcicle water bottles and wine glasses, plus apparel and kitchen essentials

  • Belle Be Our Guest Collection – Fans of Beauty and the Beast will love this new collection featuring the popular animated characters from Beauty and the Beast. This collection includes apparel, measuring cups, and more.

  • Figment Passholder Collection – Passholders get some exclusive options, too!

When it comes time to pay for your food, wine, and merchandise, you can always use room charge, cash, or card.

Another popular option is to use a gift card that you pre-load with your Food and Wine Festival budget. Speaking from experience, doing it this way makes it easier to keep from overspending (especially after you’ve sampled a glass).

Planning your time at the Food and Wine Festival

When to go

Though the Food and Wine Festival takes place 7 days a week during the festival dates, the weekends are when it gets really busy due to the influx of locals who come to enjoy it.

And, unfortunately, sometimes guests find themselves enjoying the offerings a bit too much.

For that reason, we strongly recommend that if you want to experience Food and Wine you choose Sundays – Thursdays.

A touring plan

If you have 1 day at Epcot, we recommend that you spend the first part of the day in Future World to ride rides, and then use the last part of the day for Food and Wine Festival activities.

Here’s what your afternoon might look like:

  • Pick up a festival passport so you can apply stickers as you work through the World Showcase
  • Stop by kiosks, enjoying various food and drinks (our preference is to visit the food booths that don’t have a permanent presence in the World Showcase)
  • Attend one of the concerts at the American Gardens Theater
  • On your way out of Epcot, stop by a booth to pick up any festival merchandise you’d like to take home as a souvenir

Historical Food and Wine Information

Lots of people plan their Disney World trips a year or 2 in advance and to help with that, we’ve moved historical information about how a “regular” Food and Wine Festival typically looks to this section.

We don’t have a crystal ball or any knowledge that any of the things below will be returning in the future, but just in case they do, we wanted to make sure you could see some of what has been offered in the past.

Eat to the Beat concerts (likely not offered in 2021)

While Disney hasn’t said the concerts are officially off, their latest announcement that Voices of Liberty and Mariachi Cobre would be returning to the American Gardens Theater leads us to believe that the popular Eat to the Beat Concerts likely won’t be returning for the 2021 Food and Wine Festival.

Here’s how it looked in the past:

Throughout F&W, musical acts from my childhood the 80s and 90s would perform at the America Gardens Theater, a stage located in the American Adventure section of the World Showcase. These concerts would take place 3 times per evening (at 5:30pm, 6:45pm, and 8:00pm) and the best part was they didn’t cost any extra.

Showtimes typically were:

Sundays to Thursdays: 5:30 PM, 6:45 PM and 8:00 PM
Fridays & Saturdays: 6:30 PM, 7:45 PM and 9:00 PM

And, here’s a sampling of the acts that have performed:

  • Plain White T’s
  • Sawyer Brown
  • MercyMe
  • Grace Kelly
  • Zach Williams
  • Lauren Daigle
  • Jimmie Allen
  • Tiffany
  • The Allman Betts Band
  • Everclear
  • STARSHIP featuring Mickey Thomas
  • Post Modern Jukebox
  • Blue October
  • Mark Wills
  • Sugar Ray
  • Taylor Dayne
  • India
  • 98°
  • Boyce Avenue
  • Southern Avenue
  • Kenny G
  • 38 Special
  • Baha Men
  • Billy Ocean
  • Sheila E
  • High Valley
  • Hanson
  • Sheena Easton
  • Kris Allen
  • Boyz II Men
  • The Hooters
  • Big Bad Voo Doo Daddy
  • BBMAK
  • Spanish Harlem Orchestra
  • D’Capella

The concerts all take place at the American Gardens Theater in the World Showcase. That is the theater right across from The American Adventure:

In the past, Disney also offered an Eat to the Best Concert Series Dinner Package. Basically, you could pick 1 of several places to dine before the concert, and then get an appetizer, entrée, dessert, and non-alcoholic drink (or 1 buffet) as your meal. Afterward, you’d get a guaranteed seat for the Eat to the Beat concert that night.

Historical Premium events (likely not offered in 2021)

Historically, there are have been several premium events (translation: they cost extra money) that happened during the International Food & Wine Festival.

However, those were all suspended for 2020 and we have yet to hear if they will be back for 2021.

Party for the Senses

Some of the events we’ve seen in the past are:

  • Party for the Senses – One of the hottest tickets around, this sophisticated event was the most expensive running anywhere from $229 per person up to $359 per person
  • Sunday Brunch with a Celebrity TV Chef – Less expensive but still a lot of fun, this experience clocked in at around $139 and provided guests the opportunity to eat at a lunch hosted by celebrity chefs like Robert Irvine and Aarti Sequeria
  • Beverage & cheese seminars
  • Wine and meal pairings
  • Culinary demonstrations

Disney du Jour Dance Party (likely not offered in 2021)

Disney has not made any announcements about the return of this Dance Party for 2021.

This popular dance party was one of the newer offerings back in 2019 (which was the last year it occurred). It historically ran all week but on Friday and Saturdays it would feature performances by Radio Disney and Radio Disney Country artists.

Epcot Festivals

Even if you don’t make it to this festival, we have some good news!

Epcot is now home to nearly year-round festivals. That means that no matter when your next trip might be, you are likely to have the opportunity to catch one of its festivals in action.
