Here is some artfully good news! Disney announced on Thursday, Oct. 21 that the Epcot International Festival of the Arts is returning in January 2022.
In typical Festival of the Arts style, it remains a very short festival and will only run through February 2022.
What are the exact dates? The upcoming Festival of the Arts will begin on Jan. 14 and run through Feb. 21, 2022.
Do you want to hear some other good news? The Disney on Broadway Concert Series is officially returning for the 2022 festival!
The concert series featuring Broadway performers was eliminated during the 2021 festival for obvious reasons (ahem, the pandemic).
But, it’s good to know that we will once again to see these talented singers belt it out at the America Gardens Theatre!
We don’t have an official schedule or list of performers yet, so stay tuned.
In addition to the concert series, you can also expect the return of the following at next year’s Festival of the Arts.
- Different Food Studios around the World Showcase
- The Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine: using your Festival Passport, you’ll collect a stamp for the purchase of 5 artistic dishes and then claim a specialty treat upon completion
- Chalk artists
- Photo ops where you can step into famous artwork
- A paint-by-number mural
- Figment’s Brush with the Masters scavenger hunt
- Performance and visual artists
- Special festival merchandise
This festival is all about celebrating culinary, performing, and visual arts. You’ll even be able to purchase art (including Disney pieces) around the World Showcase from a slew of talented artists.
