Stop what you’re doing, because we have a slew of exciting Magic Kingdom entertainment news!
The Disney Parks Blog shared on January 27 the return date for the Festival of Fantasy Parade — plus two other debut dates for the previously announced brand new cavalcade and the revamped daytime Cinderella Castle stage show.
First, guests will once again be able to watch Festival of Fantasy beginning March 9, 2022 at Magic Kingdom along the parade route (begins in Frontierland by Splash Mountain and ends on Main Street, U.S.A. next to the fire station).
This is a special date, because it also marks the parade’s 8th anniversary!
Next, the new Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade! officially debuts at Magic Kingdom on February 11, 2022.
This cavalcade already sounds amazing because it will star nearly 30 characters! That’s right, 30 characters, including, Nick and Judy from Zootopia, Baloo and King Louie from The Jungle Book, José Carioca and Panchito from The Three Caballeros, along with Merida, Moana, The Incredibles, and more.
Oh, and as you can see above, Miguel from Coco will also make his Magic Kingdom debut during the cavalcade!
Finally, Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire debuts on Cinderella Castle Forecourt Stage February 25.
Instead of being called “Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire,” this updated show now has a new name, will incorporate favorite scenes from the previous version of the show (Tangled, The Princess and the Frog, and Frozen), feature a new opening, and even have a new finale with Mickey Mouse and all his friends in their sparkling, EARidescent costumes.
There’s even an all-new, original song called “Where the Magic Feels Like Home.”
During Destination D23 in November 2021, Disney first teased all of this entertainment, but we didn’t have official dates — until now.
At the time, Disney also revealed the return of Fantasmic! at Hollywood Studios in 2022, but, sadly, we still don’t have a date. We will of course update you as soon as we learn more!
