Dessert Parties Return To Disney World For 50th Anniversary

It’s been a long time since we’ve been able to enjoy a dessert party at Walt Disney World, but that all changes come the start of the 50th anniversary celebration.

On Sept. 14, Disney announced new and returning dessert parties and dining packages for upcoming nighttime spectaculars Disney Enchantment at Magic Kingdom and Harmonious at Epcot.

There are three dessert parties at Magic Kingdom, one dessert cruise on Seven Seas Lagoon, two dining packages at Epcot, and a rooftop celebration at California Grill.

Magic Kingdom Dessert Parties

All of the following take place at Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant and each include an assortment of beer and wine for guests ages 21 and over.

Important: Gratuity is not included or required for the Magic Kingdom dessert parties. However, theme park admission (not included in price) and park reservations are both required.

Also: Fireworks are not guaranteed as part of these experiences and sometimes fireworks may be cancelled or rescheduled. Be sure to check the My Disney Experience app for showtimes (or you can call 407-939-3463).

Disney Enchantment Pre-Party

Begins Oct. 3, 2021 and reservations open Sept. 17, 2021
Price (tax included): $99 per adult (ages 10 and up); $59 per child (ages 3 to 9)

There will be a spread of 50th anniversary-themed desserts, including a variety of cheeses and beverages, with selections of beer and wine included. This is standing-room only in the Plaza Garden. You’ll want to arrive at Tomorrowland Terrace 90 minutes before the start of the show to check-in.

Disney Enchantment Treats & Seats

Begins Oct. 3, 2021 and reservations open Sept. 17, 2021
Price (tax included): $114 per adult (ages 10 and up); $69 per child (ages 3 to 9)

There will be a spread of 50th anniversary-themed desserts, including a variety of cheeses and beverages, with selections of beer and wine included. You’ll watch the fireworks from dedicated reserved seating at Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant. You’ll want to arrive at Tomorrowland Terrace 60 minutes before the start of the show to check-in.

Disney Enchantment After-Party

Begins Oct. 3, 2021 and reservations open Sept. 17, 2021
Price (tax included): $99 per adult (ages 10 and up); $59 per child (ages 3 to 9)

California Grill Cocktail Party

Celebration at the Top: 50th Flavors and Fireworks at Disney’s Contemporary Resort

Begins Oct. 2, 2021 and reservations open Sept. 17, 2021
Price: $129 per person (plus tax and gratuity) (complimentary valet parking is included)

This is a special cocktail party at California Grill’s private Sonoma and Napa Rooms. There is a selection of specialty drinks, sushi, and small plates paying homage to the original menu from the resort’s opening in 1971.

You’ll also get to watch Disney Enchantment fireworks on the observation deck and enjoy petit-fours, cordials, and coffee afterwards.

You’ll check in at the California Grill check-in podium on the second floor of the Contemporary. A Cast Member will then escort you to the 15th floor for your reservation.

There is a dress code. The following is not permitted: tank tops, flip-flops, swimsuits, swimsuit cover-ups, hats, cut-offs, torn clothing, and T-shirts with offensive language and/or graphics.

Seven Seas Lagoon Dessert Cruise

Ferrytale Fireworks: A Sparkling Dessert Cruise

Begins Sept. 18, 2021 and reservations are currently available
Price (tax and gratuity included): $99 per adult (ages 10 and up); $69 per child (ages 3 to 9)
Occurs on select Wednesday and Saturday nights and includes a “special takeaway surprise”

You’ll watch Magic Kingdom’s nighttime spectacular (Happily Ever After before it ends on Sept. 29 and Disney Enchantment once it debuts on Oct. 1) on a boat from Seven Seas Lagoon.

There will be a range of bite-size sweets, including build-your-own mousse, key lime tarts, cupcakes, and specialty beverages with and without alcohol. There’s also an ultraviolet scavenger hunt for kids.

You’ll check in at the Transportation and Ticket Center (to the left of the Ferryboat launch) and will even receive a special beverage before setting sail. The boat sets sail 50 minutes prior to the fireworks and there will be no further boarding at that time.

Wheelchairs and ECVs can be accommodated. Fireworks may be changed or cancelled without prior notice due to inclement weather. The event will still occur in inclement weather, but may be modified or cancelled due to extreme weather conditions.

Harmonious Dining Packages

There are two dining packages available at Epcot for Harmonious, which officially kicks off on Oct. 1.

Rose & Crown Fireworks Dining Package

Price (tax and gratuity included): $89 per person (ages 10 and up); $39 per child (ages 3 to 9)

You’ll be seated outside on the Rose & Crown Dining Room patio overlooking the World Showcase Lagoon to watch Harmonious. The package includes: one appetizer, one entrée, a dessert platter, and unlimited beverages.

Be sure to check in 45 minutes prior to the show and the entire dining experience will last around 90 minutes, ending when the show does.

If there is inclement weather, this experience will take place in a covered area outdoors. If you don’t cancel your reservation within 48 hours of the event, you will forfeit the entire price of the dining package.

Spice Road Table Dining Package

Begins Oct. 1 and reservations open Sept. 23
Price (tax and gratuity included): $72 per adult (ages 10 and up); $31 per child (ages 3 to 9)

You’ll be seated outside in the covered, outdoor area overlooking the World Showcase Lagoon to watch Harmonious. This dining package includes: two small plates, a dessert platter, and unlimited beverages.

Be sure to check in 45 minutes prior to the show and the entire dining experience will last around 90 minutes, ending when the show does.

If you don’t cancel your reservation within 48 hours of the event, you will forfeit the entire price of the dining package.
