Important Note: construction on this resort has been suspended

Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge was a new 900 room Disney Vacation Club (DVC) property that was originally announced at the D23 Expo in 2019.

However, like several other projects announced at that time, after the extended park closures in 2020 Disney has quietly ceased construction and even removed mention of it from prior press releases.

Originally, this new nature-inspired resort was to be built on the location of the long-closed River Country Water Park. Located between Fort Wilderness and Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge was to be designed to embrace its natural surroundings.

In addition to the beautiful new resort, a highlight of the project was the announcement of a Princess and the Frog themed restaurant – something we were definitely looking forward to checking out.

At this time, Disney has not officially confirmed that this project has been put canceled, however, with current work suspended indefinitely, we feel it is safe to assume that at a minimum, this project is on long-term hold.
