With an average of about 50 miles of walking during a 1 week Disney World trip, it makes sense to consider strollers for many kids, even some who have outgrown using them at home.
Below, you’ll find a Disney World stroller comparison so you can find the option that’s best for you.
Let’s get started…
In this article
Stroller size rules for Disney World
Although strollers come in all shapes and sizes, Disney does have some rules in place for what is allowed.
The current policy for strollers sets the maximum size at 31″ (79 cm) wide and 52″ (132 cm) long.
In addition, “stroller wagons”, which are a popular hybrid, are prohibited even though most are technically “pushed” and not “pulled”.
Regular wagons (and anything else that is pulled behind you) continue to not be allowed.
Bring your own stroller
Of course, many people opt to bring their personal stroller with them on their Disney World trips.

Cost: Free (even if you’re flying as airlines allow you to check your stroller at the gate and don’t charge it as checked baggage)
Pickup/Drop off: n/a
Pros: Familiarity, will always have it with you (even on the long walks through the airports)
Cons: If you don’t want to lug it around at the airport, hotels, etc., it could be a problem (you will have to fold it up when riding Disney buses). Strollers also get a lot of wear and tear on Disney World trips due to the amount of use but also the inability to take them inside while in the parks (bring a rain cover to help protect your stroller).
Buy a stroller in Orlando
Oftentimes it’s much cheaper to actually buy a stroller than rent one at a theme park, even if you’re just going to leave it at the end of your trip.
Cost: Varies
Pickup/Drop off: You’ll need to make arrangements to either pick one up at a store or have it shipped to you at your resort (info on that below)
Pros: You won’t have to worry about lugging it in an airport, can be cheaper than renting a stroller
Cons: You may have to set aside time during your trip to go to a store and pick one up and you won’t have access to the stroller until you do
If you have a car, it’s easy to run to a nearby Target or Walmart and pick up a stroller there.
Many of the gift shops in the Disney World resorts sell an umbrella stroller that’s a bit nicer than the lowest-end umbrella strollers. These strollers cost around $60 and include a cup holder and the ability to recline.
You can also choose to buy a stroller online and have it delivered to your hotel.
How to address your package:
Your name (or whoever’s name is on the hotel reservation)
c/o Your Disney World Hotel’s front desk
Arrival date: 3/1/2022
123 Some St.
Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830
When to order:
About a week before your trip will usually work but will depend on the shipping method and origin. To be safe, try to get it there a couple days before your trip.
Where to send it:
Here are the addresses to all of the Disney resorts if you’d like to ship items there. Asterisks below mean that the hotel is considered a convention hotel and you may be charged an additional fee for a package to be delivered.

All Disney resorts (including those that aren’t convention hotels) have also started charging a $5 fee for any package being delivered, however these charges are not consistent.

Disney World stroller rental companies
If you don’t want to bring or buy a stroller, you can always rent from 1 of many stroller providers, including renting strollers within the theme parks of Walt Disney World themselves.
Just keep in mind that if you have a stroller with you at all times that you’ll end up having to fold and unfold it to ride Disney buses.
Here’s a comparison of some of the most popular stroller rental companies.
Important Note: Unless they are a Disney Featured Provider, most stroller rental companies are no longer able to drop off and pick up strollers at Bell Services. Instead, you will need to coordinate the pick-up and drop-off with the individual companies listed below.

Disney World stroller rental recommendation tips:
Having trouble deciding which option makes sense for you? Here are some thoughts:
- If you have a car, think about renting from Magic Strollers for the 25% off discount you’ll get when you pick up your stroller from them.
- If you have bigger kids who don’t use a stroller at home but will be really tired from walking miles each day, rent one of the bigger strollers from Disney or one of the rental companies like Magic Strollers who have bigger strollers available.
- If you want a stroller to take everywhere during your trip (including the airport) but won’t need much else in terms of baby gear, bring your own stroller.

Can I reserve a stroller from Disney World ahead of time online? Or do I just rent in person once we're there? Wasn't sure if these ever sell out for the day Thanks.

I've rented from ABBF multiple times before and had a great experience, but I just went to check out their website and it says it's no longer available. Did they shut down?? I used them just in September but now it just seems gone.

Hi, It states that kingdom strollers is a preferred vendor and can leave with bell services but they are requesting a time to meet them and not leave with bell services. Is there any way to have a stroller dropped at disney hotel bell services?

Hello~ I know this article is regarding stroller rentals but my question is about electric scooters- has the drop off at bell services also changed for them? We drive into Disney and rent scooters for my elderly parents but would never be able to transport one in our car. Thanks for any input!

Yes, it's changed for both. Any reservations made before October 1 will be able to use bell services so be sure to snag that now if you know you'll need one.
