Add-Ons

Unlike the before times, there are a few offerings that are not included with the sale of annual passes, including:

Water Park & Sports Option

You can add on the Water Park and Sports Option for an additional $99 plus tax for the year.

For the duration of your Annual Pass, this add-on gives you one admission to select Disney World experiences (with no blockout dates) including:

  • Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park
  • Disney’s Oak Trail Golf course
  • FootGolf at Disney’s Oak Trail
  • Disney’s Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf Course (one round prior to 4 p.m.)
  • Disney’s Winter Summerland Miniature Golf Course (one round prior to 4 p.m.)
  • Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park (currently unavailable)
  • ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex (currently unavailable)

Disney PhotoPass Downloads

If you want unlimited Disney PhotoPass downloads (from the first valid date of your pass until expiration), you will now have to pay an additional $99 plus tax for the year.

You will receive discounts on prints and physical product purchases.

Important: If you will always be with your party when visiting the parks (like your family), only one person in your party needs to purchase the PhotoPass add-on.

Renewal Discount

The current renewal discount is 15% and Disney will also apply a discount to the PhotoPass and Water Park and Sports Option add-ons when you renews. It’s unclear how much the latter discount will be.

Current Passholders

If you’re a current Annual Passholder with a pass from the old program, nothing changes for you except starting Sept. 8 you can book more park reservations, depending on your pass.

  • Platinum Plus: 5 park reservations
  • Platinum: 5 park reservations
  • Gold: 5 park reservations
  • Silver: 4 park reservations
  • Theme Park Select: 3 park reservations
  • Weekday Select: 3 park reservations
  • Epcot After 4 p.m.: 3 park reservations

If your renewal time is after Sept. 8, you’ll either purchase a new pass or won’t buy one.

Current Annual Passholders will also be among the first to receive a brand-new Passholder magnet featuring this new look.

Florida Resident Monthly Payment Program

As always, Florida residents can take advantage of the monthly payment program. This program is only available to Florida residents who are least 18 years old and those who have a valid ID.

The monthly payment amount is based on the remaining balance after a one time payment of $205 at the time of purchase.

The first monthly payment will be charged on day of purchase or shortly thereafter.

Upgrade An Eligible Ticket

Starting Sept. 8, you can upgrade an eligible ticket into a select Annual Pass – in person. At a later date, you’ll be able to upgrade an eligible ticket on the website or via the My Disney Experience app.

If you purchased an eligible theme park ticket, you can apply the entire price paid into a select Annual Pass. Eligibility rules apply.

Keep in mind that if you upgrade an existing ticket to an Annual Pass, your park reservations will automatically cancel and you’ll have to rebook with the Annual Pass. Disney World recommends upgrading on last day at the park.

As for Genie+, all we know regarding Annual Passholders is that at launch APs will be able to purchase Genie+ on the day of their visit.

At this time, there are no Passholder discounts available for Disney Genie+ or individual attraction Lightning Lane purchases.

Per Disney, “As always, we will continue to explore new offerings for Annual Passholders and Magic Key holders in the future and value their feedback.”

Be sure to read our Frequently Asked Questions post, where we dive into all of the details we know so far about Genie+.

I apologize this question is wordy! I'm a little confused on the resident monthly payment program. Are you paying more overall to be able to pay per month? You mentioned that the monthly payment will be due on date of purchase or shortly after. But if the monthly payment is based on the remaining balance after down payment, then the pricing doesn't make sense for 12 months. To visualize what I'm saying. If you purchase top tier ($1299) and put down $205. What you have left is $1094. The monthly payment is $99. $1094 divided by 12 months is actually only $91 and change. However $1094 divided by 11 months is $99 and change, so that would make sense with the monthly payment listed. So do they just not charge you for your last month? Or are you paying more overall to be able to use the monthly payment plan? Hope that question makes sense!
