Aloha! Welcome to the Hawaii booth, which is located in the Showcase Plaza as you head towards the Mexico pavilion.
Here, you can purchase tropical-flavored food and drinks that are both savory and sweet. Anyone in the mood for some SPAM? If so, this is the marketplace for you!
(Truly, the SPAM dish is really good and a solid stand-out at this booth.)
Plus, if you need something on the sweeter side, the cheesecake is so creamy and flavorful; a definite hit!
As for a tasty and refreshing cocktail (made with alcohol), many of us also really enjoyed the AULANI Sunrise. It’s nice, bright, and colorful, aka good for Instagram photos.
Here’s everything you need to know about the Hawaii booth, including reviews, photos, and our must-trys.

Kālua Pork Slider
A small sandwich roll topped with shredded pork, sweet-and-sour DOLE pineapple chutney, and a spicy mayonnaise.
Price: $5.75
Special Diets: N/A
Rating: 3.3/5
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Just ok. Salty, kinda bland.
Heather: Not as good as the SPAM. It’s ok. Nothing AMAZING (like the SPAM) but if you need some protein, do it. (Note: shredded meat can sometimes make me twitchy so that *might* have impacted my opinion.)
Felicia: The pork is delicious and has a great flavor. The pineapple chutney and spicy mayonnaise go well with the pork but the bun gets soggy quickly. Preferred eating it with a fork.
Teriyaki-glazed SPAM Hash
A hash made with crispy potatoes, teriyaki-glazed SPAM, peppers, and onions and topped with a spicy mayonnaise.
Price: $4.50
Special Diets: N/A
Rating: 4.7/5
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Yummmm. Fantastic combo of flavors, though slightly salty and small portion.
Heather: Listen – SPAM gets a bad rap, but this is DA BOMB. I really like it. I’ve had it at previous Food and Wine Festivals and guess what? I would order it again. This makes canned ham product FABULOUS.
Felicia: Surprisingly good. All the flavors work well together and the SPAM is fun.
Tuna Poke
Raw, marinated tuna chunks topped with eel sauce and spicy mayonnaise. Served with crispy shrimp chips.
Price: $7.00
Special Diets: N/A
Rating: 3/5
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Way too salty to enjoy for those of us who don’t love salty foods.
Felicia: Tasty and fresh poke. Good for the warm weather but not worth making an extra stop just for this.
Passion Fruit Cheesecake
A small passion fruit cheesecake topped with toasted macadamia nuts.
Price: $4.25
Special Diets: N/A
Rating: 4.8/5
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Yummm! Worth the stop. Relatively small portion though.
Heather: Not too bad! Pretty darn good – and not too sweet. Get it if you have a passion for passion fruit. Or if you like cheesecake. Or happiness.
Felicia: This is so good. Delicious cheesecake with fruity but not too sweet passion fruit. The macadamia nuts add a nice crunch as well. Loved this.
Allyson: As a big fan of cheesecake and macadamia nuts, I highly recommend this. It’s super creamy!
Kona Brewing Co. Hanalei Island IPA
A tropical and hoppy IPA with hints of passionfruit, orange, and guava.
Price: $5.00
Made with Alcohol?: Yes
Rating: 3.3/5
Our Thoughts
Shannon: IPA with a surprise hint of sweetness makes this a fun option.
Heather: Smells great. Tastes ok. No wow factor but if you are buying some SPAM hash, go ahead and give it a try (if you like beer).
Felicia: For an IPA, this is light and refreshing with a nice tropical flavor.
Allyson: This is a nice lighter beer, but nothing spectacular.
Sparkling Pineapple Wine
A refreshing sparkling wine made with pineapple juice from Florida Orange Groves in St. Petersburg, FL.
Price: $10.00
Made with Alcohol?: Yes
Rating: 2.5/5
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Served in a tall champagne flute, but sounds and looks better than it tastes.
Heather: My coworkers may not like this one but they may be wrong, because it truly is kind of tasty! Also, I love pineapple.
Felicia: Not a big fan of this. The pineapple is too fake and this has a funky flavor. Not my favorite.
Allyson: This is definitely tastier than your average wine and has a nice hint of pineapple. But, still, as someone who doesn’t like wine, not really my thing.
AULANI Sunrise
A tropical and refreshing cocktail made with vodka, DOLE pineapple juice, and grenadine.
Price: $14.00
Made with Alcohol?: Yes
Rating: 3.5/5
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Hard to go wrong with vodka, pineapple juice, and grenadine. Delicious, basic mixed drink.
Heather: This is soooo good. I love it.
Felicia: This is a nice fruity mixed drink. I generally don’t like fruit juice based cocktails but this isn’t too sweet and has a nice pineapple flavor.
Allyson: I’m not a fan of this. It has a strange flavor and I wanted it to be more fruity than it actually is.
