Mexico Booth Menu & Review (2021 Epcot Food & Wine Festival)

There’s no denying the Mexico pavilion is a popular one – and so is the Mexico booth at the Food and Wine Festival.

Located along the water near La Cantina de San Angel, this booth serves up everything from chilaquiles, to tacos, to Mexican craft beer.

And let’s not forget the margaritas! It wouldn’t be a stop in the Mexico pavilion without some tequila, right?

Many of the dishes are decent sizes compared to what you get at the other marketplaces. If you want something that will fill you up more quickly, try this booth.

Food and Wine Festival - Mexico food and drink options

Seeing as this pavilion is a fan-favorite, this booth can get busy, so plan accordingly.

Photos & Reviews

Chilaquiles con Chorizo

Crispy corn tortillas tossed in salsa verde and monterey jack cheese topped with crema Mexicana, queso cotija, pickled onions, and ground chorizo.

Chilaquiles - Mexico

Price: $7.00
Special Diets: N/A
Rating: 4.3/5

Our Thoughts

Shannon: Generous portion, delicious taste, nice mild kick.
Heather: Spicy and salty and very good. The spice level might be a bit for delicate mouths. Just an all-round good mix of textures and flavors.
Felicia: I didn’t expect to like this as much as I did but it’s delicious. So flavorful and the perfect mix of meat, cheese, and corn tortilla. The tortillas were not crispy as the description suggests, but I still loved it. I also dislike chili powder flavor and I didn’t get that in this dish.

Taco de Ribeye

A corn tortilla topped with shaved ribeye steak, poblano peppers, red onion, ranchera salsa, cotija cheese, and chives.

Taco de Ribeye - Mexico

Price: $7.00
Special Diets: N/A
Rating: 3.7/5

Our Thoughts

Shannon: Delicious combo of flavors. Tomato in the ranchera sauce really comes through.
Heather: So tasty! Little bit of spice but the flavors really work well with each other.
Felicia: This is a decent taco. The ribeye has a taco seasoned ground beef vibe and was overall fine. Not anything special, though.

Capirotada de Chocolate

Capirotada is Mexican bread pudding style dessert that is commonly consumed during Lent. This version is an abuelita chocolate bread pudding served with a chocolate crème anglaise.

Capirotada de Chocolate - Mexico

Price: $5.50
Special Diets: N/A
Rating: 3.3/5

Our Thoughts

Shannon: Very generously sized, warm chocolate is delicious, cinnamon (or similar spice) lingers after.
Heather: Absolutely delicious. Hints of cinnamon with a rich chocolate. I would totally get this again. And again. And probably again.
Felicia: The flavor is fine but the texture is awful. The texture reminds me of partially cooked cake batter. Probably good if you’re a fan of bread pudding.
Allyson: This is just ok. It kind of has a mushy interior texture, which isn’t my thing.

Tulum Artisanal Lager

Tulum Artisanal Lager is a Mexican craft beer with citrus notes and made with Mexican Caribbean seawater.

Tulum Lager - Mexico

Price: $5.00 (6 oz.) / $9.50 (12 oz.)
Made with Alcohol?: Yes
Rating: 3.8/5

Our Thoughts

Shannon: Delicious light citrus beer.
Heather: Solid beer. No tricks. No flare. Just a good BEER.
Felicia: Easy drinking lager that is good for warm weather.
Allyson: Reminds me of a Dos Equis or Corona. Right up my alley. Easy to drink on a hot day.

El Tigre Margarita

A margarita made with smoky Ojo de Tigre mezcal, pomegranate, prickly pear, pineapple, and ginger juices served on the rocks with a hibiscus salt rim.

El Tigre Margarita - Mexico

Price: $11.50
Made with Alcohol?: Yes
Rating: 3.3/5

Our Thoughts

Shannon: Delicious combo of juices makes for a very light margarita. Salt detracted from the taste so preferred without.
Heather: For a margarita it is pretty good. I wish I liked tequila because getting margaritas with friends sounds like fun.
Felicia: Smoky flavor from the mezcal which is nice. I thought this was good but a little sweet for me. Loved the mezcal.
Allyson: I’m not a tequila (or mezcal) person, so not a fan.

La Clásica Reyes Margarita

A margarita made with Centinela Blanco tequila, Ancho Reyes chile liqueur, Abasolo corn whiskey, lime juice, and agave nectar served on the rocks with a chile piquin salt rim.

Classic Margarita - Mexico

Price: $11.00
Made with Alcohol?: Yes
Rating: 2.8/5

Our Thoughts

Shannon: Pretty basic margarita. Nothing special to note.
Heather: Great option if you just want a margarita. But there are better and more unique options out there. Kinda cheugy.
Felicia: Pretty basic margarita, the chili doesn’t come through. I thought it was good but not worth visiting here just for it.
Allyson: This is better than the El Tigre, but, again, as a non-tequila fan, it’s just ok.

White Passion Fruit Sangria

A light and fruity sangria made with white wine, Chinola passion fruit liqueur, and a hint of Ilegal mezcal.

Passion Fruit Sangria - Mexico

Price: $10.00
Made with Alcohol?: Yes
Rating: 3.8/5

Our Thoughts

Shannon: Light, fruity flavors with mezcal make for a delicious, refreshing drink.
Heather: I love sangria, and this option is so light and fresh on my tongue. It actually goes pretty well with the bread pudding.
Felicia: Fruity sangria with a smoky flavor from the mezcal. A little sweet for me but not bad.
Allyson: Not my favorite. I also don’t like a smoky flavor (Mezcal). It’s very light though, which is good on a hot day.
