The Ireland booth can be found in the U.K. pavilion by Rose & Crown.
Guess what? Initially set to open on Oct. 1, the Ireland booth opened early on Aug. 15.
From Irish ale, to mead honey wine, to Irish seafood pie, the marketplace features dishes inspired by the Emerald Isle.
It’s important to note that the Warm Irish Cheddar Cheese and Stout Dip with Irish Brown Bread is not being served this year, which was once a popular menu item.
While you should definitely stay away from the Bunratty Mead Honey Wine (seriously, don’t try it), you can’t go wrong with the Guinness Bailey’s Shake or the Warm Chocolate Pudding Cake.
Here’s everything you need to know about the Ireland booth, including reviews, photos, and our must-trys.

Fisherman’s Seafood Pie
This is similar to a chicken pot pie, but with seafood.
Price: $6.75
Special Diets: N/A
Rating: 2.5/5
Our Thoughts
Shannon: I liked this more than I expected to. It is like a seafood version of a Shepherd’s Pie with mashed potatoes on top.
Felicia: The flavor is okay, a bit fishy. But the texture is grainy and mushy, almost like baby food.
Warm Chocolate Pudding Cake
Warm chocolate pudding with an Irish Cream custard.
Price: $4.25
Special Diets: N/A
Rating: 3.3/5
Our Thoughts
Heather: The chocolate cake in this tastes just like the one my mom used to make. Am I giving this a 4 because I’m overly sentimental? Probably. But, the sauce on top is also delicious. Loved the flavor combos.
Felicia: This is okay. It’s not as sweet as I would have expected and doesn’t have much flavor. Wouldn’t recommend going out of your way to get it.
Allyson: I’m not a pudding fan, but this was really good. It also isn’t super heavy, which I appreciated.
Roasted Irish Sausage
Roasted Irish sausage with colcannon potatoes and onion gravy.
Price: $5.50
Special Diets: N/A
Rating: 3/5
Our Thoughts
Heather: I don’t understand why the sauce was so … sweet? I wasn’t expecting it so when I put it in my mouth my brain got confused. The potatoes slapped, though.
Felicia: It’s an average sausage with a brown gravy that is a bit sweet for my liking. The potatoes are okay. Overall, not a very good dish. It’s fine though if you really like sausage and potatoes.
Kilkenny Irish Cream Ale
The Kilkenny Irish Cream Ale is a Red Ale and Irish style beer brewed from the makers of Guinness.
Price: $5.00 (6 oz.) / $9.00 (12 oz.)
Made with Alcohol?: Yes
Rating: 2.6/5
Our Thoughts
Heather: I like my stouts to have a lot of flavor – and this just didn’t have a lot of flavor. Pretty disappointed, if I’m being honest.
Felicia: I liked this. Has the consistency and somewhat flavor of a stout, but not as heavy. It isn’t overly creamy but it’s good.
Allyson: Why does this taste like water? No flavor whatsoever.
Guinness Baileys Shake
The Guinness Baileys Shake is a combination of Guinness beer and Baileys Irish Cream.
Price: $11.50
Made with Alcohol?: Yes
Rating: 4/5
Our Thoughts
Heather: My milkshake brings all the GUINNESS to the yard. Honestly couldn’t really taste the alcohol plus the glass is cute.
Felicia: This isn’t too thick or creamy and has a nice Baileys flavor. I don’t care for ice cream and this is more like an ice cream shake than I would care to drink. But I recognize that it is good for those looking for this.
Allyson: This was nice, light, and very tasty. I really enjoyed this.
Bunratty Mead Honey Wine
This Bunratty Mead Honey Wine is a traditional wine made of pure honey, fruit of the vine, and natural herbs. It’s a medium sweet wine.
Price: $6.00
Made with Alcohol?: Yes
Rating: 1.3/5
Our Thoughts
Heather: RETREAT! This is way too sweet for me. If you plan to sip it as a dessert wine, you’ll probably be ok but do not – I repeat DO NOT slam an entire glass. Trust me on this.
Felicia: This taste just like honey with a slight hint of alcohol. It’s very hard to drink and I would not recommended unless you know mead or honey wine is your thing.
Allyson: If I could give this a negative rating, I would. Avoid at all costs.
